Privacy Policy & End User License Agreement (EULA)

DataSweep Clear (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides device-side file management and cleaning services, including scanning and removing cached files, residual data, old APK packages, temporary files, and similar unnecessary content. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, the rights you have, and how third-party services are involved. The EULA defines the terms of use governing your access to the App.

1. Data Collection & Processing Practices

1.1 Local Processing

All core file-cleaning operations—including detection of junk files, classification, and deletion—are performed entirely on your device.

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal files, folders, directory listings, or file content to our servers.

1.2 Types of Data We May Collect

Although file-content data is never collected, the App may process limited information necessary to improve functionality or comply with regulations. Depending on your device and settings, this may include:

  • Device model, OS version, app version
  • Basic interaction or performance analytics (e.g., feature usage frequency)
  • App crash logs (if enabled in your OS settings)

This information is anonymized or pseudonymized whenever possible.

2. Third-Party Platforms & SDKs

To support functionality such as stability, analytics, or attribution, the App may integrate the following third-party services:

2.1 Attribution Platforms

Used to understand installation sources, advertising campaign performance, or aggregated app interaction metrics.
Examples: AppsFlyer, Adjust, or similar.

2.2 Data Analytics Platforms

Used to analyze aggregated, non-identifiable usage data to improve app performance and user experience.
Examples: Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, internal analytics tools.

2.3 Firebase Services

If enabled, Firebase may process: Crash reporting data, Device identifiers, Aggregated performance metrics.

Firebase data is handled under Google’s privacy policies.

2.4 What We Do NOT Share

  • Personal files
  • File names or content
  • Scanned junk results
  • Sensitive identifiers such as phone numbers, email accounts, or precise location

3. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, global privacy frameworks), we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: To provide core app functionality.
  • Legitimate Interests: To ensure security, prevent fraud, diagnose issues, or improve performance.
  • Consent: When required for analytics or optional features.
  • Compliance: If necessary to meet regulatory requirements.

4. Data Retention

  • Local data processed during cleaning: retained only temporarily within your device and deleted immediately after task completion.
  • Analytics or diagnostic data: retained only for the duration necessary for analysis, troubleshooting, or regulatory compliance.

We follow data minimization principles and delete data when it is no longer required.

5. Data Sharing & Sale

5.1 Do We Share Personal Data?

We may share aggregated, anonymized, or non-identifiable metrics with analytics or attribution partners. We do not share personal files or sensitive personal data.

5.2 Do We Sell Personal Data?

No.

We do not sell your personal data as defined under CCPA or similar privacy laws.

5.3 User Right to Opt Out

If your region’s privacy laws define certain analytics or sharing as “selling” or “sharing,” you may opt out by:

  • Accessing Settings → Privacy → Data Sharing within the App (if available), or
  • Contacting us directly at the provided email address.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Right to Access Confirm processing & obtain a copy of your data.
Right to Correction Correct incomplete or inaccurate personal data.
Right to Deletion Request deletion of personal data (subject to exceptions).
Right to Restrict/Object Stop processing certain categories of data.
Right to Know & Opt Out Know if data is shared/sold and opt out where relevant.

8. Security Measures

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including on-device processing, encryption, and access controls.

9. Children’s Privacy

DataSweep Clear is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted in-app. Continued use signifies acceptance.


11. End User License Agreement (EULA)

11.1 License Grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DataSweep Clear solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with this EULA.

11.2 Restrictions - You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Attempt to access source code
  • Circumvent security mechanisms
  • Use the App for unlawful activities
  • Reproduce or distribute the App without authorization

11.3 Ownership

All rights, titles, trademarks, and intellectual property remain with the developers.

11.4 Updates

We may provide updates/patches. Some updates may be required for continued use.

11.5 Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is”. We disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

11.6 Liability

We are not liable for data loss or indirect damages. Your maximum remedy is to discontinue use.

11.7 Termination

We may suspend/terminate access if you violate this EULA. You may terminate use by uninstalling.
